A brief description of the character:
Bruce Wayne is one of the richest people in America under the age of eighteen. His name is a familiar one in Gotham City, an urban sprawl high on the east coast that has been slowly rotting on every level of society for decades. A mugger's gun deprived him of both parents on one cold night when he was eight years old. Since then he has been a very grave, collected child, adult-like in his mannerisms but forward in his opinions. His estate is held in trust and a board runs Wayne Industries, but the boy prince of Gotham strikes everyone who meets him as a worthy heir to the kingdom.
Bruce is alarmingly intelligent and attends a private Academy forwealthy boys on the outskirts of the state. He has aptitude for all the practical sciences but his interests lie primarily in criminal psychology. He attended therapy until he was ten, at which age he consulted seriously with his legal guardian and butler, Mr. Alfred Pennyworth, and discontinued attendance.
As a loner, Bruce is often the target of jealous ridicule from his classmates, though any physical confrontation stopped after he started taking martial arts lessons the summer of his eleventh year. It is hard to find middle ground with him, though he is painstakingly polite and almost sickeningly well-bred. Bruce, even at sixteen and an awkward 5'10", is easy to respect but hard to like.
